The Power of Plants

It might sound silly when said out loud, but I love my shrubs! This past weekend Ja and I finally got around (and the money) to plant some shrubs in front of the house. I have spent many minutes, probably hours, looking out the window of my car as I drive past dozens of houses, looking at their shrubs, trying to decide what to do with our empty flower bed, and boring, plain front yard (especially with the death of that never-ending tree). So, we went out and got some boxwood and something with almond in the name (it will bloom with pink flowers). And we transplanted the daylillies to the front of the flower bed, and once everything begins to bloom, it will just be magnificent. It's funny, b/c I love coming home and seeing how my shrubs are doing today! Plants really do make a difference. Also, once the tree stump guy comes and grinds the stump, we're going to plant a pink dogwood tree (also a native) and watch our tree grow. It's home. -em
