Single Digits

We're getting down to the wire here and getting excited!!! 9 days to go until the big day. Everything is squared away and we're ready to go! Meghan, the MOH, will be here next Wednesday and then we'll begin our girl-getting-ready activities. Friday, Saturday, Sunday are packed with wedding festivities and all of our friends and family will be here to share in the fun and then we're off to Jamaica for a week (something else we're equally excited about!!). So far, the forecast looks great. I think it will truly be a perfect day. -em

Maybe??

I just wanted to share the good news-- Ja has a job interview tomorrow with Derrick Thomas Academy-- that's where he works at now as a tutor. It's downtown and is an inner-city charter school. He has done a really good job handling the kids and has connected with some of them and I guess his efforts didn't go unnoticed. He is interviewing for the social sciences teacher position. I'm not sure what grade- I think 6-7... the school only goes to 7th grade. This would be a wonderful beginning to his teaching career. He'll start working on his teaching certificate this summer with CMSU and would also gain the experience of a lifetime teaching at one of the hardest schools in MO. It would be a tough first year, but he'd be that much better of a teacher afterwards. And I think him getting a job would be the best wedding gift ever- to have my husband be employed after the wedding... -em
